PONTE VEDRA, FL --(actionList.Pro LLC)-- actionList.Pro’s interSector panel provides a useful snapshot of TaC's allocation across the stock market's industrial sectors, along with each sector allocation's deviation from the stock market's own sector-level weighting. See: SADI.

Long-term stock market participants may find themselves re-evaluating sector-level allocations in light of potential changes to their overall capital position, whether through a new TaC contribution or a revised TaC target. This leads to a natural question:

Given a new TaC contribution or updated TaC target ... How might the amount of capital in each sector need to be adjusted in order to develop the sector-level holdings so that they are in overall alignment with broader stock market sector-level weights?

This is where actionList.Pro's new Sector-Level Surplus and Deficit Calculator shines. It is available from the main menu's "TVM+" option, and is the last item on the list of calculators. To use it: (1) Select an input mode, as either "TaC Contribution" or "TaC Target", (2) Enter the appropriate Dollar Value, and (3) click Submit. (See Image 1)

A popup window presents the results in detail. It highlights:

  • The current sector allocations (TaC0),
  • The revised TaC (TaC+1) distributed according to actionList.Pro’s latest market sector weightings, and
  • The resulting sector-by-sector surplus or deficit values. (See Image 2)

Whether considering the impact of TaC contributions, or adjusted TaC targets, aLP’s Sector-Level Surplus and Deficit Calculator highlights how the new allocation may be developed to align with, or deviate from, the broader market. It provides a straightforward way to assess sector-level exposure and help evaluate sector allocations with greater confidence.
